historical interest of Calabasas and its surrounding environs through education, programs and the exchange of ideas and information with other organizations.

The Society maintains the Calabasas-Las Virgenes Historical Society Collection containing important photographs, books, artifacts and documents from two former archives: The Kathleen Beachy Memorial Library and the Ruth Loring Collection of Southern California History at the Calabasas Library.

The Society also honors citizens who have contributed to the history of Calabasas with a Living History Award and encourages the continuing research of the areas history through a Essay Award.
